This morning I rode my bike to work through temperatures of 18°F, which actually felt like 12° according to some local weather website. If you ask me, it felt more like -39°. It doesn't often get below freezing here in Seattle and it's been like this for more than a week, so we're all really suffering here. This Jimmy Smith track should heat things up a bit. In the 1950s, Jimmy Smith evidently revolutionized the way the Hammond organ was being played! One of his most popular and successful albums, "The Cat" was produced by Creed Taylor and reached #12 on Billboard's pop album charts back in 1964.
