LP: Authentic Latin Rhythms
The Halo label based in Union City, New Jersey released this LP by The Cuban Orchestra back in 1957. Unfortunately, looks like the folks at Halo had a little marihuana que fumar before adding the tracklist to the record label; side one lists the same title for tracks #2 and #5 (but the songs are different) and eight titles are listed for the six tracks on side two. I've posted track #2 from side two, which the label lists as "La Cucaracha." It's not the cucaracha we've all come to know and love, but I bet lots of lesser-known regional folksongs have been written about cockroaches over the years, so maybe this is one of those.
