Oh phooey. I was trying to decide what to post on the blog today when I read on IMDB that lovely "vocal-lass" Eydie Gorme died this afternoon in Las Vegas. In addition to her solo career, Eydie is known for her Spanish-language work with Trio Los Panchos and her English-language work with husband Steve Lawrence. Gorme and Lawrence first met when they were both booked to perform on The Tonight Show in the early 1950s. They were married in 1957 and he was still at her side today when she passed away.
