As my mother always used to say, "Alex, what the hell is this? Turn that off, you're ruining the holidays! Where's your Doris Day Christmas CD?" You can read about British rap pioneer Derek Boland, who recorded this track for Profile Records' 1987 various artists Christmas Rap LP, on his Wikipedia page here. Sadly, Derek died of a heart attack just last month at the age of 44. His obituary in The Guardian can be found here. Looks like Derek B will be chillin' with Santa up in heaven this year.

Technically, I think that he'll be chillin' (literally) with Santa at the North Pole immediately after St. Nick gets back from delivering toys. That's just me,tho'.
